‘Ugh this song is SO summery!’ I say to myself to a billion songs. There’s so many things I love about Spring/Summer but my ultimate aesthetic is hanging in the garden/pub with a cider and some good tunes playing.
So this is my ‘cider in the garden’ playlist:
(Normally I’d list every single summery track I can think of but I’m gonna make this list mainly new-er songs which is so hard cos i’m a sucker for songs I listened to forever ago and never get bored of but the Spotify playlist has everything and is gonna be forever growing and my last proper post was a Summer Jams one like 2 years ago so I don’t wanna bore you with the same songs)
K so my brother has really got me into grime recently so I’m really digging Stormzy, Giggs, Skepta and a bunch of others so number 1 summer jam is gonna have to be Stormzy – Big For Your Boots.
One of my favourite songs of last year was Snakehips – All My Friends. Such a chilled out, funky tune perfect for the evening comedown and long drives.
This is not something I would have ever admitted 5 years ago but Little Mix – Shout Out To My Ex IS THE GREATEST SONG EVER! Hands Down. No Arguing. It is a fucking modern day masterpiece. Fight me. (Also love literally every other one of their songs, no shame at all)
I have never in my life been a fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers but whilst working last summer I heard Dark Necessities on Radio X and fell in love not knowing it was RHCP and it hurt.
My favourite summery band of all time, Circa Waves, released a new album this year and even though it’s not as summery as Young Chasers… Fire That Burns is gonna be an absolute festival classic!
Basically every single Blossoms song but for the sake of this list I’ll have to say just At Most A Kiss.
Also every song by The Magic Gang but I’ll settle for – All That I Want Is You
Rae Sremmurd – Black Beatles.

So yeah, the list/playlist is full of a bunch of different genres which I really dig because sometimes you’re listening to pure Indie stuff but you kind of want a bit of cheese or something a bit more mellow and this has it all and will cater for everyone you’re hanging with.
